Purpose: The book aims to help clinicians in their preparation for examinations, presenting the essential body of information in an accessible format that supports acquisition of new knowledge and the strengthening of preexisting knowledge with a test-oriented focus.
Audience: During their education and practice in anesthesiology, clinicians build their expertise using a wide range of didactic resources. Trainees in anesthesiology who prepare for their certification and other required examinations, as well as experienced practitioners who seek recertification, benefit from a book that emphasizes key topics which can be reviewed rapidly to refresh and reinforce their knowledge. The authors are residents in anesthesiology whose work has been reviewed by faculty.
Features: The book presents summaries of essential topics in anesthesiology in a concise format. A brief introduction to the basics of the certification examination and test-taking skills leads into presentations of the fundamentals of anesthesia management.
