Overview

A two-person story. Shadow and Blaze.

A journey of mental health, and being lost.

Shadow escaped from his life in Anchorage. He has been on the run because of his regrets towards

his family. He wishes things would have gone differently. We meet Shadow in the middle of Poland as he

feels lost and forsaken.

Blaze still lives in Anchorage. She writes violin music to escape the daily struggles of living. We meet

her as she gets ready to go to his funeral. She thinks he's dead. She grieves his loss and misses him

on a day-to-day basis. She tries to read his writings or play the violin to cope as she is in an abyss of hell.

She knew if she had said something, maybe things would have gone differently.

They both think they have lost each other.

They both may be lost in the world.

Both are hopeless human beings.

Yet they try to keep on going for each other. It's what both of them would want.

The musician and the writer. Both each other muses.

Read more to find out about their story.

About the Author

Wiktoria Hankus is a teen girl who was born in Poland, yet chooses to write

in the more commonly known language, English, even though she can understand mostly Ukrainian, but

can speak kinda Spanish, and ASL. "Enough to get by on a day-to-day life," she says.

She is a person who enjoys writing about relatable things such as mental health with

not-so-popular topics such as her Asperger syndrome/autism, and Christianity.

Most of the inspiration she finds in her day-to-day life. But yet sometimes her inspiration can be

so simple like seeing what a person does/wears. Her observance of people helps her massively with her

writing.

She has the brain of an architect, yet she enjoys books. Books are her way of loving... her way of life.

She has published previously on free platforms such as Inkitt, Apple Books, Wattpad, neovel,

medium, Inkspired, and Neobook. And now she chose to publish on B&N to tell this poetic story.
