Fixing Physics: not all potentials are equal
In the 1920s quantum mechanics a microscopic theory, met general relativity a macroscopic theory head on and there was a clash and they never came together. Pieces were missing from both quantum mechanics and relativity. Those missing parts left quantum mechanics an approximation with no foundation and no correct connection to relativity. Experiments finding human scale quantum structure in some very common materials allowed this century old problem to be solved with a new set of differential equations replacing the Dirac and Schrodinger equations to start the second century of quantum mechanics that includes the gravitational potential.
