About the Author

VASILISA ROMANENKO is a Connecticut-based illustrator, designer, and fine artist who depicts the mystery, beauty, and fragility of nature through the use of botanical elements, intricate patterns, and animals. She sees her art as windows into a magical world, much like the one she enjoyed getting lost in as a child while reading fairy tales. Though she attributes much of her artistic experience to her parents, who are both artists, she holds a degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
