About the Author

Randy Ashton moved to Ketchum, Idaho after college to follow his passion and become a photographer. He worked with renowned photographer, David R. Stoecklein, for several years and then enrolled at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. After graduating, Randy was given the opportunity to travel to Iceland to take photographs for the North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NASF). He spent the summer shooting salmon rivers and fisherman all over the island. Fly Fishing in Idaho is Randy's first book of photographs and he is working on a second book in cooperation with the NASF. Randy will be traveling to the 50 greatest Atlantic salmon rivers in Canada, Europe, and Russia over the course of two years. All proceeds from the book will benefit the NASF.
