About the Author

Ann Nolder Heinz holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from
the University of Washington with a major in Sociology.
Her novel Last Stop Freedom, a story of slavery, women’s
rights, and the Underground Railroad, won first place for
historical fiction in the 2011 Royal Dragonfly E-book
Awards competition and two honorable mentions in the
2012 Hollywood Book Festival. When she is not writing,
she works as the office manager of her husband’s civil
engineering and surveying firm. They reside in the small
Illinois river town of East Dundee, the setting for this and
three additional psychological suspense novels.
