Gabriela Esquivel is a multimedia artist and author of the children’s book and kid’s show ”Gema, the Curious Butterfly”: a story about friendship, freedom and love. “Gema, the Curious Butterfly” kid’s show combines literature, visual arts and music. Gabriela has been performing the kid's show and workshop in different venues in South Florida, like the YMCA, the Broward County Library and local schools and learning centers. Gabriela works in diverse artistic mediums like music, literature, painting, drawing and murals. She was born in 1981 in San Jose, Costa Rica and has lived in Germany, Switzerland, United States and Puerto Rico. Her work has been featured in Italy, and in main journals and magazines in Puerto Rico and United States.
