About the Author

My name is Shelby H. Rease. Gladiators vs Zombies is my debut novel. It was originally a screenplay that eventually became a novel. I hope that you will enjoy and appreciate the work that went into it over the years. This novel is a culmination of my lifelong interest in mythology, cryptozoology, paranormal events, horror and dark fantasy. In addition to these niches, I have been greatly inspired by Ray Harryhausen films. I enjoy reading comics, graphic novels, playing video games and listening to auDiobooks. I also attend horror and fantasy conventions religiously. Some of my favorite genres include urban fantasy, cyberpunk, and spy thrillers. Some of my favorite authors include Robert E. Howard, Jim Butcher, Chuck Hogan, William Gibson, Laurel K. Hamilton, Douglas Preston & Lincoln child, Clive barker, & many more (And, oh! of course, Stephen King). I enjoy anything pretty much eighties central, being an eighties kid, and love eighties horror, mainly John Carpenter movies, synth wave and cyberpunk, & HK martial art movies. I also aspire to be involved with the film & entertainment industry. Thank you for investing in my novel.
