Description: This is the third updated edition of a book that covers the full spectrum of neoplastic and non-neoplastic head and neck pathology. The previous edition was published in 2009.
Purpose: This book serves as a multipurpose resource for a wide variety of users practicing head and neck pathology. It provides an in-depth, high-yield review of numerous head and neck diagnoses and provides numerous photomicrographs. The book illustrates both common and rare diseases of the head and neck. Additionally, the paragraph form style allows for an extensive description as well as helpful practical points while working on a case.
Audience: This book will be of use to general pathologists, pathology residents, and subspecialty-trained pathologists.
Features: The book is divided into 15 chapters organized by different organs and structures of the head and neck. Each chapter starts with a brief introduction followed by different diagnostic entities. Each diagnosis has subcategories including clinical features, pathologic features, differential diagnosis, and prognosis and therapy. High-quality, high-resolution images are provided for each diagnosis and often include pertinent immunohistochemical stains. This version contains updates including recent advances in molecular characterization of many lesions and a new chapter on major diseases of the conjunctiva, orbit, lacrimal gland, and intraocular tumors.

In summary, this is wonderful text that provides high-yield, accurate, and up-to-date information in the challenging subspecialty of head and neck pathology. I would highly recommend it for every pathology department and/or personal library.
