Overview

In 2017, the White House denied it was planning to hire a private Montana company to run a covert direct-action spy network.

It sounded unbelievable.

That was actually the most believable part of the whole story.

In Whitefish, Montana, accusations flew between a controversial tech tycoon and a former Marine with a shadowy past. Once friends, they had created Amyntor Group, a mysterious business with global ambitions. Shocking allegations involving fraud, sex, corruption, the White House, and the CIA grabbed international headlines. In the end, dozens of journalists, lawyers, coworkers, and police were left wondering whether any of it was true.

As told by the FBI agent who led high-profile investigations involving Amyntor and militiamen, few things in Whitefish or Washington were as they seemed.
