Godfavor: Gilgamesh and The Adversary
The gods are dying, one by one. The ones that remain are seeking a champion to take their place.
When the titan Gilgamesh arrives in Haedes, Titus is forced to watch as it murders his family and destroys his father's kingdom. Hand-picked by the god of death, Titus is given a powerful sword and one of the god's divine godfavors, one that grants him the ability to teleport. He is sent on a journey to Earth in search of a fierce warrior and family friend; one who he hopes will join him and help him avenge his family.
Instead, he finds Jake, the great-grandson of the fabled warrior. Jake is on summer vacation in Tokyo, visiting his estranged family when the Haedic prince arrives at their door. Realizing that the warrior he thought he'd find is too old to help him now, Titus rejects Jake's offer of assistance, sure that he will have to find another way to stop the titan. A daytrip into the city leads to a whirlwind of mayhem for the boys and, whether he wanted it or not, Jake is forever pulled into Titus' thrilling journey.
To defeat the titan Gilgamesh - to reclaim his stolen home and to avenge his family - Titus will have to seek out and wield the powers of the godfavors scattered around the universe until his strength can outweigh his foe. But he is not alone in this quest, and he will discover that there are many, many others who seek to stop him.
