About the Author

In 1984, Gooseberry Patch cofounders Vickie and JoAnn were next-door neighbors, two moms with small children looking for a way to do what they loved—home cooking and making memories with family and friends—and stay home with the kids too. After many conversations over the backyard fence, Gooseberry Patch was born. They put together their first catalog at their kitchen tables, and from that very first mailing found an immediate connection with many of their customers. It wasn't long before they began receiving letters, photos, and recipes from their new friends. In 1992, they put together their very first cookbook compiled from hundreds of those recipes, and the rest, as they say, is history. Today, Gooseberry Patch is best known for their home-style, family-friendly cookbooks, now recognized as national bestsellers. Vicki and JoAnn both live in Columbus, OH.
