At ten songs, none of which comes close to being three minutes long, this set of Del Shannon's biggest hits is over almost before it begins. However brief, it does hit all of Shannon's commercial high points, including the impressive singles "Runaway," "Little Town Flirt," "Keep Searchin' (We'll Follow the Sun)," "Handy Man," and the striking "Stranger in Town," a song, while definitely pop material, cuts to the heart of American attitudes about outsiders, a theme, on one level or another, Shannon explored throughout his career. ~ Steve Leggett
