About the Author

Who is GrilledD’s?

I started grilling when I was 19 years old. Correction, I started learning how to grill when I was 19 years old. I didn’t immediately like it or fall in love with it. It started with a lot of evening get togethers with friends and co-workers after work. We’d go in on some meat and then we’d have to call a buddies dad to come and start the grill for us because we couldn’t. I never considered going to culinary school at all, I never really gave it any thought. I started watching You Tube videos for hours upon hours of people all around the world grilling and smoking meats. Watching You Tube videos became a full time job. I still watch them today. I started experimenting with chicken, ribs, pulled pork, or just whatever meat I could afford at the time. I invested thousands upon thousands of dollars into teaching myself how to do this 365 days a year, sunshine, rain, or snow! I started grilling at work, cooking for family and friends, and even small events just for fun. I fell in love with cooking. I became committed to it. I really grew into it and the more I did it, the more passionate I became about it. The passion became a sense of therapy for me. Learning and growing through trial and error. While it has been financially rewarding at times and has opened doors of great exposure, none of that compares to the satisfaction I get from people saying they really enjoyed my food. The satisfaction that is the greatest reward for me is seeing other people eating good food, and being happy about it. I hope in someway I can inspire you to find your niche in this skill. Also, understand that you don’t have to be the greatest cook in the world to make great food and happy face’s.
