About the Author

Rev. Charles Hugo Doyle was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where he attended St. Mary’s School and Regispolis College. Completing his studies at the Grand Seminary, Edmondton, Alberta, and St. Augustine’s Seminary, Toronto, he was ordained to the priesthood in 1928. After two years of missionary work in the Edmondton Archdiocese, Father Doyle was made pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church in Wainwright, Alberta. He authored several books, including Cana Is Forever, Little Steps to Great Holiness, Guidance in Spiritual Direction, and What to Say to the Penitent.
