Gull
The Seagull is one of Boris Akunin's literary experiments, a kind of dramatic joke. In fact, this is the fifth, additional act to the famous Chekhov play of the same name. Akunin almost completely copies the end of the fourth act. And then offers the reader several options for the development of events at once. And every time the death of Chekhov's Treplev is explained by Dr. Dorn in a different way. Of course, Dorn is a kind of pointing allusion, a parallel with the Akunin von Dorns, of whom Erast Fandorin himself was a distant descendant. Without a doubt, readers will surely enjoy this Akunin literary joke.
