Half Moon Rising

Deputy U.S. Marshal Charlie Harlow is under fire... In more ways than one.

When a routine transport in the Smoky Mountains goes awry and a prisoner in Charlie's custody disappears, he is thrust into a showdown he never sees coming.

Charlie quickly discovers the case is far from what it seems. Deceit lurks around every corner, and betrayal runs deep, possibly even within his own ranks.

But when the investigation takes a brutal turn, he finds himself in a fight for survival. With his life on the line and pressure mounting, will Charlie's relentless search for the truth lead to justice? Or will it be his downfall?

He must navigate a treacherous landscape and a system he's starting to believe is against him. As the clock ticks away, the danger only escalates. The line between right and wrong starts to blur.

If Charlie can't outmaneuver his enemies, he risks falling into a trap he won't escape.

About the Author

Gregory has written over 24 books, and is the author of four mystery and crime fiction series, including the Henry Walsh Private Investigator series, the Deputy U.S. Marshal Charlie Harlow series, the Joe Sheldon crime series, and the new Jake Horn mysteries.

He was approximately twelve years old when his pet husky was shot by a farmer near his childhood home in Rhode Island. Rather than seeking revenge, he sent a story about it to the local newspaper. And he was officially a published writer.

And, thanks to his neighbors and the local vet, his dog survived.

After a long career in advertising and marketing, including time spent writing letters to raise money for animals and children, Gregory got away from the office life to make a living building decks, custom closets, and doing handyman work.

But he kept thinking about telling stories, and later in life made it back to the desk and finally started writing again.

?Born in Providence, Rhode Island, today Gregory lives with his wife, kids, and dog in North Carolina.
