Purpose: The book is intended to provide an overview of current knowledge in psychiatric and neuropsychological issues in aging and to provide directions for future investigation. It includes a section on normal aging as well as detailed reviews of topics specific to aging, such as Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementias, and late-life depression. The book also includes a section on treatment interventions and psychosocial issues such as guardianship.
Audience: Students and professionals in the fields of neuropsychology and neurology will find the topics interesting and updated. In-depth coverage in certain areas may be too advanced for some students, but could serve as a useful reference.
Features: The book is easy to read and well illustrated. The authors make excellent use of tables and illustrations to support the information in the text, especially in the section on neuroimaging. The references were generally current and comprehensive.
