This first edition book truly explains every type of nursing case management there is, which is not an easy feat with today's vast assortment of healthcare delivery systems.
Purpose: This is a comprehensive, fundamental reference and resource book. Throughout the chapters there are illustrations, guidelines, and step-by-step procedures that get right down to the bare facts of nursing case management and how to successfully implement this delivery system.
Audience: The author intends the book for nurse case managers and healthcare administrators. It will also be useful as a textbook in graduate level nursing programs. Currently, there are a limited number of nursing case management textbooks. This book, it is hoped, will be a part of the transformation of nursing case management as a system of healthcare delivery.
Features: This book looks like a basic reference/textbook and that is exactly what it is. Its value is in the completeness and usefulness of the material.
Assessment: This book is a must for all hospital libraries that intend to be around in the 21st century, as well as for hospital administrators. Each nursing case management department should have a copy.
