About the Author

Jamie Harvey grew up on Rolling Stone, Sassy magazine, and MTV. But instead of wanting to be in a band or with a band, she always fantasized about being the journalist. However, being too
shy and told she was a mediocre writer across her long education concluding in a B.A. in Psychology, a B.S. in Advertising, and an M.A. in Advertising from the University of Texas in Austin, prevented her from ever formally pursuing it as a career option. That is, until blogging
was invented. Jamie started HardRockChick.com in early 2007, barely even understanding what a blog was. And then she started Tweeting in late 2008 from shows, not thinking anyone would listen.
Next thing she knew, she found a small voice in the rock world, and went to The GRAMMYs a few times. You can find her at about 100 shows a year, trying to perfect her headbanging. When not at a
show, you can find her working a myriad of consulting gigs to try to fund her show habit.
