About the Author

As an accomplished educator, musician, death doula, and grief coach, Dr. Joseph Eppink has facilitated multiple workshops, seminars, recitals, and has provided grief coaching internationally. His career began with teaching in public school and after completing the doctorate, teaching in higher academia. Throughout his teaching career, Dr. Eppink has always been passionate about end of life and, especially, those who grieve. He volunteered with hospice for many years during his teaching career.

Dr. Eppink later moved to Hawaii to continue his research on music and healing. He serves as the Director of Music/Organist at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Honolulu, where he also presents an online weekday program, A Moment with Music, that combines music, prayers, meditations, and hymns. Additionally, he works for a hospice and is a certified End of Life Companion (Death Doula) working with the dying and their families. He is a grief coach both online and in-person working with those who grieve globally.
