Overview

Cunning, monstrous, virtuous – women are at the heart of western mythology as both goddesses and mortals.

The allure of the enigmatic women of the ancient Greek world has fascinated for centuries – their conflicting roles as both muses and warriors, and villains and victims has shrouded them in mystery and controversy. Heroines of Olympus tells the tales of fifty of these enthralling women, including majestic Athena, goddess of war; vengeful Nemesis, goddess of retribution; and gladiatorial Hippolyta, queen of the Amazon, along with many more.

Featuring beautifully written retellings of Greek myths, alongside a fascinating dive into their place in his-tory and exquisite illustrations, Heroines of Olympus displays the women of Greece as you’ve never seen them before.
