Sirkustirehtöörin rouva Rosita löytää itsestään uusia kykyjä ja käynnistää uhkarohkean Operaatio Hannibalin. Karavaani on saatava yhdessä yössä Alppien yli, sillä toisella puolella odottaa ratkaisu tyhjän kassalippaan ongelmaan.
Rakkaan sirkuksen pelastamiseen osallistuvat omien erityistaitojensa mukaan niin uskollinen voimamies Budo von Bismarck kuin käärmenainen Kleopatra. Vauhdissa on mukana koko sirkuksen värikäs väki, eikä Puolentoista basson esityskään jätä ketään kylmäksi.
Herra Cannellonin sirkus on ilmestynyt englanniksi nimellä The Circus of Mr Cannelloni.
Kirjoittaja Tuula Pere on oikeustieteellisen väitöskirjatyönsä ohessa alkanut toteuttaa myös toista pitkäaikaista haavettaan, hänen kynästään on syntynyt joukko lastenkirjoja ja runoja. The writer Tuula Pere has set about realizing a dream of hers. She has written several children’s books and poems alongside her research project on questions pertaining to freedom of speech at the Faculty of Law in the University of Helsinki. Previously, she has worked as a lawyer and served in various expert and senior management positions in international corporations.
