About the Author

Guo Jian is professor of English at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, He was on the Chinese faculty of Beijing Normal University before obtaining a Ph.D. at University of Connecticut. He have published in both Chinese and English on Western critical theory, comparative literature, modern Chinese politics and culture, and the intellectual history of the world 1960s.

Yongyi Song is on the library faculty of California State University, Los Angeles. He is editor-in-chief of the 150-million-word Chinese Political Campaigns Database (published by Harvard University and Chinese University of Hong Kong) and has published extensively on modern Chinese history.

Yuan Zhou is Curator for the East Asian Library of the University of Chicago. His broad areas of research and publication range from various fields in library and information science to modern Chinese history.
