Overview

Andrea Wait has been helping people organize their homes—and, by extension, their lives—for fifteen years, and after all that time she knows one thing for sure: putting your house in order can change your life for the better.

If you feel overwhelmed when you look around your home, it's almost certainly because you have more than you could ever want, need, or use. The bottom line for the majority of us is that we just have too much stuff. But Andrea's here to help. Just like a manual for an appliance, this book is designed to be a straightforward guide to organizing your living spaces—and is full of helpful tips and real-talk motivation to help you along your way. Step by step, room by room, Home in Harmony will not only help you get started on decluttering your house—it will help you get all the way across the finish line.

When we let go of things that no longer serve us, we create the space for what does. You have the power to navigate your way free of all the stuff jumbling up your life and make your way to a place of joy and serenity. Let Andrea show you how.

About the Author

Andrea launched Andrea Wait Organizing Services in 2009 because she’s always been drawn to helping people and because she absolutely loves organization. Yes, loves. There are endless ways to design spaces that improve not only functionality but also mental clarity and physical wellness. She know firsthand the difference it makes to have your space designed around what you really need. Decluttering opens up so much more than just a space—it opens up opportunity.

Andrea has been organizing ever since she was a child, but she really started to understand its impact as an adult. Her reduce/recycle approach has served her well everywhere she’s lived—from the sprawling suburbs of Long Island to space-challenged apartments in Manhattan and finally to San Francisco, where years of shared-living situations made her an expert in managing space and inventory.

Though her work is focused on the Bay Area, Andrea has had the great fortune to travel around the country working with homeowners, business owners, renters, and landlords, each time discovering something new in the process of discussing their unique challenges. She feels privileged to have been invited into people’s lives to help them make changes and she hopes that this book can reach countless more, aiding as many people as possible in creating the home of their dreams.
