About the Author

Brenda Hendrickson, CSA, RTRP
Brenda Hendrickson, owner of Brenda Hendrickson, CSA, LLC, Fairfield, NJ, is an accountant, tax specialist, QuickBooks Pro advisor, certified senior advisor (CSA), and Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP). Her company provides accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and planning services for individuals and businesses. Before venturing out to start her own business, Brenda’s corporate career included serving as a controller for Schal Associaties, a construction management firm in New York City, where she was responsible for the $25 million dollar Journey’s End Hotel project. Prior to that, she served as accounting manager for Keller & Kirkpatrick, a civil engineering firm. And, before she became an accountant, Hendrickson was a chemist (and patent holder).
Hendrickson frequently shares her expertise as an instructor and speaker on such topics as wealth management, retirement planning, tax tips, and entrepreneurship. Throughout her successful career, she has discovered the secrets as to why some people retire rich while others don’t. And it was this discovery that led her to add “author” to her list of accomplishments…so she could share these ideas with as many people as possible.
A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Economics and Accounting, Hendrickson is an active member of the alumni. She has been a featured speaker for the university’s Business Leaders of Tomorrow program and a panelist for its Horizon’s Program.
Brenda is a member of the National Society of Accountants, the National Association of Tax Professionals, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and the New Jersey Board of Realtors. She is also past president of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (Essex Chapter), treasurer of the Cedar Grove Education Foundation, and a past vice president of the Cedar Grove Lion’s Club. Brenda has also been named 2008 NJAWBO Woman of the Year and 2009 NJBIZ 50 Best Women in Business, and she is a contributing author to the award-winning business book: Jersey Women Mean Business! Big Bold Business Advice from New Jersey Women Business Owners: Practical Pointers, Solutions, and Strategies for Business Success (Woodpecker Press, LLC, 2012).
