Recurring suggestions urge students to focus on achievements and skill sets and to use a variety of media such as written work, audio, and video. Most of the contributors suggest including a reflective piece, to explain to viewers why portfolio items were chosen. Differences among contributors seem to lie in platform preferences, such as WordPress, Behance, Weebly, Wix, YouTube, or LinkedIn. Sample bios offer success stories in using portfolios, but the biggest drawback is the lack of portfolio samples or links to see an actual digital portfolio.
