Born in the horn of Africa, where the need for almost everything is immense, and pursued her education in Denmark and the UK, Dr. Sadiyo Siad stands as an exceptional entrepreneur, far from the ordinary, and not your typical success story; she is undoubtedly a woman on a mission.
Her journey began as an out-of-school child. The tumultuous backdrop of the Somali civil war forced her to become an internally displaced person (IDP) and, later, a refugee, first in Kenya and then in Denmark. Amidst these trials, she navigated an arranged marriage as a teenage girl, an unfortunate situation that eventually escalated into domestic violence. Undeterred, she triumphed over each adversity.
Despite these hurdles, she achieved a remarkable feat, obtaining five university degrees, including a Ph.D. and two master’s degrees, all while confronting dyslexia. Today, she is the director of multiple six-figure social enterprises with aplomb.

As a serial social entrepreneur, adeptly leveraging technology for sustainable businesses, Dr. Sadiyo’s endeavors have significantly contributed to diverse realms: economics, peace-building, healthcare, and education, encompassing technical and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, TVET skills training, employment, social development, and human capital advancement mechanisms in Somalia.
Guided by the 3 E’s model (Empowerment, Education, and Employment) coupled with the 3 H’s framework (Head, Heart, and Hands), her overarching aim is to support and enhance livelihoods sustainably and holistically. She has pioneered innovative initiatives in Europe and Africa, bolstering sustainable economic growth and fervently seeking opportunities to bring visionary ideas to life.
