About the Author

Susan Cobb Singleton is an Elder Law Attorney, and formerly served as Associate Greenville County Probate Judge. During her judgeship, Ms. Singleton realized that the number of elder law attorneys serving in the niche area of elder law was limited. She also saw a need for caring, compassionate elder law attorney advocates to assist families in preparing for life's major events. Ms. Singleton is passionate about educating persons about elder law issues, so that seniors and their adult children, can make informed decisions to carry out their dreams for the future and ensure that the ‘golden years’ allow seniors as much personal and financial freedom, and the highest quality of life possible.
Ms. Singleton received her law degree in 1986, from The Walter F. George School of Law, at Mercer University. She began her collegiate career at Furman University, and graduated cum laude with bachelor degrees in English and Political Science. Ms. Singleton is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, and a member of her local Bar, and the South Carolina Bar Associations. Ms. Singleton was the first recipient of the Richard W. Riley Award, ‘Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year,’ for service to indigent clients.
