    About the Author

    Kate Abbott is a co-owner of Kindred Spirits Dog Training, where the motto is: caring, common sense dog training. She has worked with dogs in various ways over the past 26 years: veterinary technician, protection and security dog handling, obedience instruction, and behavior consultant. She has been teaching group obedience classes and offering private training sessions through Kindred Spirits for the last fifteen years. She is an AKC CGC evaluator and a teacher of the Red Cross Emergency Pet First Aid course. Kate is a past president of the national board of Love on a Leash, a therapy animal organization.
