About the Author

Jaremy Stucki is the Nurse Manager for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute Young Adult Comprehensive Assessment and Treatment Program. He has worked for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute for 13 years as a psychiatric technician, nurse, nurse educator, and nurse manager. Jaremy has worked with the youth and young adult populations in mental health for these 13 years and has loved working with and mentoring them and their families. Jaremy has been married to his beautiful wife Megan for 15 years, and together they have four children who are their world: Noah, Madden, Lyla, and Sebastian. The inspiration behind this book all started when Jaremy was younger, and like the character Gabe in the book, he struggled with his self-esteem. Jaremy had a loving and supportive family and some close friends, but he was self-conscious about his “silly” right eye and did not like people teasing him about it. Daniel Schow was a neighbor Jaremy looked up to, and one day they were walking home, and with just a few words of encouragement, Daniel planted a seed in Jaremy that forever changed his life. This encounter and the examples of his family, friends, and leaders who were mentors to Jaremy made him want to do what he does today.
