Overview

I Tell You the Truth began as a journey in search of self-discipline, particularly for the college student.

The basis for this writing is 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." In the first half of this book, we discover who these spirits represent and find encouragement to follow the ones that God desires of us. In the second half we discuss the application, especially directed toward the college student.

While I Tell You the Truth was intended for the student away at college, many adults have found great encouragement for this book.

About the Author

Randy lives in Beckley, WV, atop the mountains of Appalachia. He accepted Jesus Christ as Savior at the age of seven. Yet, Randy will tell you that he struggled for the next twenty-five years with trying to live up to God's Word. An experience with God in June of 1996 changed everything. Jesus Christ was no longer just his Savior. He was now his Lord and Savior. Randy ministers to the college aged young adults at Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley. He credits his greatest God given ministry to that of his family - his wife Lisa, daughter Alyssa and son Aaron.
