About the Author

Steve Althaus was born in 1945. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and graduated from Austin High School. He graduated from the University of Texas, at Austin, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed a 46-year career as a mechanical engineer, engineering manager, and sales engineer, working for very small and very large American companies and one Taiwanese company. He was married to his wife, Martha, in 1968, and they have three children and seven grandchildren.
