Will Millard is a writer, television presenter, and public speaker. Prior to his television work, Millard led remote expeditions in West Papua and West Africa. When he isn’t exploring, he’s writing at the kitchen table or out fishing the rivers and lakes around his South Wales, United Kingdom, home. Rachel Quiqi is an illustrator and designer who spent six years studying animation before focusing on illustration for children. She is based in Canada.
Rachel Qiuqi is an animator, illustrator, and designer based in Toronto. This is her debut board book.

Toddler-PreS—A kingfisher dives for fish, and a stickleback senses an attack and swims out of her nest. A tadpole abruptly grows four feet. A lot happens in the pond, and that's wonderful, but this board book will confuse children into believing it's all happening right now, in one day. VERDICT Not essential, and why take such care with facts only to make mush of them later?—Kimberly Olson Fakih
