About the Author

Dr. Raj Balkaran is a prolific scholar of Indian mythology and author of 'The Stories Behind the Poses'. He is the Founder of the online School of Indian Wisdom where he applies Indian wisdom teachings to modern life. He also serves as McMaster University’s Chaplain of Indian Spirituality and hosts the New Books in Indian Religions podcast.

Jake Jackson has written, edited and contributed to over 20 books on mythology and folklore. Related works include studies of Babylonian creation myths, the philosophy of time and William Blake's use of mythology in his visionary literature.
