About the Author

Vandana Jyotirmayee is a Lecturer in Communication Studies at Sultanate of Oman's College of Applied Sciences, which runs under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education. She holds Masters Degrees in English Literature and Media Management. She also has M. Phil. degree in Media Management. She also worked extensively for UNICEF programmes in the fields of Health, Education and Community Development as a Resource Person with specializations in 'Participatory Mode of Training' and 'Module Development'. She has also worked as an anchor with All India Radio and Doordarshan and wrote scripts for children's programmes for private TV channels.
