About the Author

Kristen O’Shea is the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Gettysburg Hospital, part of WellSpan Health located in south central Pennsylvania. In addition, Kris serves as Clinical Transformation Officer
for WellSpan. With a healthcare background spanning more than 32 years, Kris has over 15 years of clinical leadership experience and has worked as a registered nurse in ED, Labor and Delivery, and medical-surgical units. In her current
hybrid role, Kris leads nursing in a community hospital while assuring strong clinical leadership of WellSpan’s clinical IT systems.

Kris holds a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She is certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced by ANCC. Kris is the author of the book Staff Development Nursing Secrets and speaks on the topics of the EHR and device connectivity.
