Follow me on my journey to me. Within these pages lies a collection of 65 poems chronicling the various emotions, joys, and trials a young woman may encounter in her coming of age. Though these experiences are specific to my individual journey, anyone who has ever felt anything will be able to relate to something here. I wish I had a roadmap or tourguide as I was finding my way, but that was not the case. However, it is my hope to be that for someone else. Who knows--maybe you'll read this book and see red flags when something in your interactions doesn't seem quite right. One can only hope. Enjoy the ride.

This lady is AWESOME. All of her books are straight talk - no chaser! This particular book makes you think and helps you to understand that you are not by yourself and actually all of her books gives you the same feeling. She keeps it real and if you are a lady and/or man, you know EXACTLY what she is talking about and most likely you have already been where she has been... The difference is like Steve Harvey, she is putting it out there to give everybody a heads up on the game.

Who hasn't had to endure hardships? I mean what person hasn't had to overcome their share of difficulties in one shape or another? Each of us has. Interestingly, though, Tonya Floyd appears to conquer many an unwanted issue having been placed upon her path through her poetry. Yet, simultaneously these poems exude the confident vibe that she's nonetheless living up life like its golden!?! By means of such awesome duality, and captivating poetry, "It Is What It Is" intrigues.
