Overview

Sally and Wayne Wesner turn off the main highway. In front
of them is a whole field of blooming flowers, but just beyond
this vista of beauty the stern grey outline of a medium-security
prison in Wisconsin rises. For a moment, they just sit staring
at the edifice. Sally then turns her tear-filled eyes to her
husband and asks, “How did we end up here?”
This book is the story of a tragic journey that brought a
mother and father to that moment. It is their hope this helps
others to not have to travel the same path.

About the Author

Despite the great sadness she experienced through the loss of her son, Wesner now believes she has a new calling. While she knows that Jeff was an amazing person who "could have been anything he wanted in life," Wesner is at least somewhat comforted by the fact that if she had to lose a child at least the story of that loss can be used to help those around her. Wesner hopes this book provides more exposure to educate people and help people cope with similar situations.
