Jesus of Nazareth is, without doubt, the most influential person in human history. Yet to many, he remains a mystery. So the question people to this day ask is, who is Jesus. There is no shortage of opinions, books, magazine articles, documentaries, and even courses that seek to answer this question. Some say Jesus was simply a wonderful teacher, others a great moral example, while others see him as a prophet. The focus of this book is to shove aside all of these opinions, theories, hypotheses, etc., and let Jesus speak for himself. We will narrow our focus to the Gospel of John, where we find seven statements that come directly from the lips of Jesus in which he tells us something about who he is. These statements begin with the words 'I am,' and thus, they have come to be known as the 'I am' statements of Jesus. The good news is that these statements reveal who Jesus is, why he came, and how this knowledge affects each of us today and for all of eternity.
