About the Author

Christine Boyd Carpenter is a retired Educator with 41 + years of teaching experience. She was passionate about educating young minds and helping them blossom into well-rounded, responsible, and successful citizens. She has a diverse background in training teachers and working with students with learning disabilities. She was proficient in curriculum design, academic assessment, and early childhood development. She was a workshop trainer (Memphis City Schools) who created the Headstart Handicapped program (1973); Proctor for the University of Memphis, 1991 Outstanding Christian Educator of the Millennium, and many, many more awards. Who’s Who among American Teachers Interventionists for Memphis City Schools, GED_English Instructor, Voc-Tech Memphis. She is the proud mother of two sons who are educators in Georgia and California.
