Overview

When a young yeti boy and his grandma go on a journey to find a safe place to live for the winter, the locals of the new mountain discriminate and treat them harshly. Junga has to learn to be brave and convince his captors that he and Grandma mean no harm to them and hope that he can be reunited with his grandma.
Children learn the importance of accepting others who may look different from them and that it is not right to discriminate in this first release from the series. Future books include other anti-bullying topics in which children learn valuable and relevant lessons in an easy to understand story format with beautiful illustrations and lovable characters.
Anti-Bullying advocate, actor and talk show host Stephen Tako is the author of this book and Peter Gullerud known for his work on Disney's® Aladdin and The Little Mermaid brings the characters to life with his brilliant illustrations.

About the Author

As an anti-bullying advocate, Stephen has interviewed children and adults who were victims of bullying on his talk show "Tako Talk". He's interviewed therapists, sports celebrities and even former bullies, to find ways to help people overcome the negative impact of being bullied. This led to the desire to reach out to children to help them fight the current epidemic of bullying. "The strong desire to save children from committing suicide has grown tremendously within me and I developed Junga to teach children about courage, acceptance and love. I too was a target of bullies and wrote about it in my book "Motivated to Act" (pub. Enchanted Forest Press 2012) in the chapter "A Damaged Child", said Tako. Children in the USA, Ireland and Scotland have enjoyed his live readings of how Junga overcame the discrimination he and his grandmother received in the first book. The second book introduces a human girl who becomes Junga's close friend and together they find a way to end being targets of a local bully.
