About the Author

Author Jose M. Fraguas, a seventh-degree black belt in shito-ryu karate, is an internationally recognized martial arts authority who is well-known to the world's top karate masters. His desire to promote both ancient philosophy and modern thinking provided the motivation for writing this book. Originally from Madrid, Spain, he currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
