About the Author

Alexis Brown is on her way to becoming a Best Selling Author of her coveted urban mystery Karma Burns. Born and raised in the tough streets of Detroit, Michigan, to a father who was a dedicated factory worker and a mother who was a devoted homemaker, Alexis' first love has always been the written word. Over the years, she has obtained expertise in a variety of areas with studies in psychology & information technology. Alexis now resides in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Her daughter recently graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Finance and her son is a rising musical artist.

Some of Alexis' favorite pastimes include cooking, listening to music and traveling to destinations where she can peacefully sit beachside with a pen and a pad. She has an array of poems she presents via spoken word at local events. She is also a ghostwriter of several well-known titles. She is the host of the online talk show The Salad Bar that is currently taping where she provides a platform for up and coming entrepreneurs to spread the word about their businesses while encouraging her audience with healthy living and weight loss tips.

In addition to writing, Alexis is also an advocate for human and civil rights. She is working to establish her own publishing company; A vehicle she will use to represent minority authors in a positive way that is unprecedented in the industry. Her ultimate goal is to see urban fiction become a globally recognized genre.

Alexis is currently finalizing the highly anticipated sequel to Karma Burns, Karma Returns. She is slated to release three other novels over the next year including Betrayal, Obsessive Compulsions and a Self-Help Book.
