About the Author

Daphne Olds, also known under the pen name Johanna Dao, is author and founder of KB Books Presents author's website. KB Books Presents was founded 2021. Daphne Olds was born and raised on the NC coast, where she enjoys all the scenic water views. After graduating high school, Daphne received an Associates Degree in Office Systems Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management as helping others has always been one of her passions. In 2011 she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and everything in her world shift to this baby girl. Being the mother of a special needs child, Daphne's perspective of the world around her changed from what she formerly knew. All praises and glory given to God, Daphne knew that she was specifically chosen to be the mother of this beautiful child. Inspiration for KB Books presents comes from being a mother. Kayla Bean is the nickname given to Daphne's daughter, thus the naming of KB Books Presents was created. Her daughter's middle is Johanna, which is the pen name that Daphne writes under. Daphne's first self-published book is an emotions journal targeting the special needs audience entitled "KB Books Presents: In My Feelings". One of Daphne's most important goals in life is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for her daughter to thrive in and to show her that all good things are possible though God. All of Daphne's current titles are available under the categories of journals and notebooks, diaries, and children's activity books.


Winston Murrell and Wendell Murrell are the twin brothers to Johanna Dao (Daphne Olds). They are true artist by nature, and Johanna uses their artwork and illustrations throughout her journals, diaries, and planners. In addition to art, they also enjoy fishing, being fanatics of cars, and spending time with family.
