About the Author

Gail Ramshaw is a scholar of liturgical language and a retired professor of religion at La Salle University in Philadelphia. She served on the Revised Common Lectionary design committee and on the Church’s Year task force for the Renewing Worship project of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Her many publications include Christian Worship, Treasures Old and New, Between Sundays, and God beyond Gender, all published by Fortress Press.

Mons Teig is professor emeritus of worship at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, having served on the faculty since 1986. He has also served as director for parish worship and preaching in the Division for Life and Mission in the Congregation of The American Lutheran Church, as as pastor of churches in Brooklyn, New York, and Pacific Palisades, California.
