Overview

Although this label is notorious for flooding the market with shoddy packaging and greatest-hits packages that consist of nothing but lame re-cuts, this is actually a 20-track collection of Acuff's early Columbia sides. Unfortunately, it's all copied off of old scratchy 78s and the sound hasn't been cleaned up too well. Still, it is a way to grab a chunk of Roy's best while avoiding the indignity of having to purchase another batch of less than stellar re-cuts of the real thing. ~ Cub Koda
