I really enjoyed this book, it was bloody hilarious. I loved the war of wills between King Dave and Nadine, their love/hate relationship was brilliant...lol. The things they did to each other was funny – but if you ask me Nadine plays a better game ... no matter what he did Nadine would get one over on him. ... this a great romantic comedy that is easy to read. Go grab a copy and see for yourself.

A stagehand can get you backstage–boy can he get you, backstage–but he can also fix your car. Stagehands are trained to have good manners by waitresses, who don't take any guff. This could be why they so often end up marrying them.

And ohhh shall I say steamy I am sure you could see the steam coming out of my ears while reading certain scenes...King if Hearts is a great romantic quirky book that is easy to read. Can I just say if you have just read this 1st chapter and wondering if you should buy it. Go for it as it is so funny and quirky I loved it. The book takes place in a little known subculture (backstage Chicago), so it may not appeal to everyone. I was fascinated, and impressed, that Ms. Stevenson got the technical details of that culture right and was able to turn them into them into comedy. five stars

Jennifer Stevenson's King of Hearts saved my sanity!! I was recovering from a minor surgery that ended up a bit more complicated and painful than it was supposed to be. I hurt all the time and needed something to take me away from the pain ... I couldn't flip the pages fast enough and when I was tired, they waited for me to wake up and start to read again. ... Thank you for making my recovery a little bit easier, feel a little bit shorter, and leaving me craving more of the Stagehand stories!!
