Overview

A classic tale of good vs. evil that brings together two unlikely people--one a legend in his own right--to battle a menacing presence having its origins in the legends of old. It is a story of death, destruction, revelation, and redemption set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, a land where pirates once roamed, ghost stories abound, and people are known to vanish without a trace.

About the Author

An avid sailor, Joseph K. Waltenbaugh first became enamored with watersports when he learned to windsurf in 1980. He then windsurfed extensively in his home area and on Lake Erie, the beaches of southwest Florida, the Caribbean, and along the Atlantic coast from New Jersey to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In his book, "Legend: An OBX Novel" (www.LegendOBX.com), he brings to life the characters he met along the way to create a summer beach tale of suspense and danger in a most unlikely setting.

He shares his political and creative writing at the website www.waltenbaugh.net and his sailing knowledge and experience at the website www.bananawind.us. He is also the author of "The Elephants' Graveyard" (www.TheElephantsGraveyard.net).
