About the Author

Caesar Carrino was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, on January 5, 1931. He attended Wadsworth schools, graduating in 1948. He entered Baldwin-Wallace College and received an education degree in 1952 before serving in the Korean War. He earned a master's degree from the University of Akron and a PhD from Case-Western Reserve University following military service. Beginning in 1954, he taught in the Norton Schools, where he became principal in 1956; functioned as a supervisor in Summit County Schools in 1966; and joined the University of Akron in 1967. In 1970, he became assistant to the dean of the College of Education and assistant dean in 1972. He retired in 1989. Presently, he works with Historic Downtown Wadsworth to help preserve its historic integrity and reviews university programs for accreditation.
